Some cities shine in sunlight. Paris whispers under clouds.
Paris is often photographed in warm light, golden sunsets, and postcard skies.
But I think the city reveals a different personality when the clouds arrive.
The muted light strips away distractions, allowing the architecture to take center stage. Every balcony, every carved ornament, every curve of the slate roof becomes more pronounced against the gray sky.
As I stood on the corner looking up, I noticed something almost everyone else walked past—a tiny splash of red flowers resting on one balcony.
A reminder that even in stone, cities leave room for life.
Sometimes the most memorable photographs aren't about dramatic moments.
They're about quiet ones.
