Weathered façade of Piment Café in Paris, with faded wooden panels, old signage and afternoon light falling across the building above.

Moment

Still Open

Paint fades. Wood cracks. The city keeps serving drinks.

Some places become more interesting as they wear out.

Layers of paint, old lettering, scratched wood, and newer signs accumulate until the storefront becomes its own record of time.

Paris is very good at this. Nothing quite disappears. Something new simply gets written over it.
