Designed by Eliel Saarinen, the stone figures outside Helsinki Central Station have become silent symbols of the city.
They have witnessed departures, reunions, celebrations, wars, ordinary mornings, and countless arrivals.
The clouds move.
The light changes.
The keepers remain.
